Maskey speaks out against 'Hate crime'Published: 17 April, 2009
South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has called upon all political and community leaders in the South Belfast area to voice their support for the Hungarian women who were victims of a hate crime last night at their home on the Donegall Road.
"Last night's attack was reprehensible. Unfortunately, this is not the only attack of its type to have taken place in this area in recent times.
"Political and community representatives have a duty to make it clear that racism has no place in community. I would call upon all community and political representatives to unite in support of foreign nationals who live in our community". CRÍOCH |
