Parker urges attendance at South Belfast Policing consulatationPublished: 27 September, 2009
Vincent Parkr, Balmoral Sinn Féin representative and member of the South Belfast District Policing Partnership, has urged the public to ensure that they have an input into forming the Policing plan for South Belfast by attending the South Belfast District Policing partnership's consultation event in Orchardville Training and Resource Centre, 10 Orchardville Avenue, Finaghy on Wednesday, 30th September, 2009 at 7pm. Vincent Parker said, "The South Belfast District Policing partnership is hosting a consultation event in Orchardville Training and Resource Centre, 10 Orchardville Avenue, Finaghy on Wednesday, 30th September, 2009 at 7pm. "The PSNI in South Belfast is charged each year with producing a Local Policing Plan for the area. This plan sets out the proposed arrangements for the policing of the area, with identified policing priorities, which have been determined in conjunction with your relevant District Policing Partnership "Sinn Féin has consistently stated that communities need to have a direct say in how your area is policed. "As a member of the South Belfast District Policing Partnership, I would urge all members of the public to participate in the consultation event to ensure that they avail of this opportunity to help shape and influence how the South Belfast area is policed and to help identify what they believe should be the priorities for the PSNI in the area."
