LOWER ORMEAU DRUGS ARRESTS WELCOMED

South Belfast Sinn Fein MLA Alex Maskey has welcomed recent drugs related arrests on the Lower Ormeau Road and has praised the pro-active approach being taken by the PSNI in tackling the problem in the area.


Alex Maskey MLA said,

"Last night saw the PSNI make an arrest and recover a significant amount of drugs. This is the latest in a number of arrests in relation to drugs that have taken place in recent weeks.


"I welcome this latest arrest and would commend the pro-active approach being taken by the PSNI in tackling the problem in this area. While there remains much work to be done, these latest arrests highlight what can be achieved when the PSNI works with the local community".
