Maskey to meet DRD Minister to raise Lower Ormeau flooding concerns

South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey will tomorrow afternoon meet with Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy MP to raise concerns about the recent flooding in the Lower Ormeau area and to seek answers as to why this has happened again.


Alex Maskey MLA said,

"After visiting the Lower Ormeau area during the flooding I stated publicly that I did not accept the reasons given to me by the Water Service at the time as to why this flooding took place.


"Tomorrow afternoon I will be meeting with my Party colleague, Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy, to express my concerns about the reoccurrence of this flooding in the area and to seek answers as to why this flooding happened again, causing great trauma to the residents of this area."
