Maskey welcomes South Belfast Drugs SeizurePublished: 20 December, 2009
South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has welcomed the PSNI seizure of £5million worth of cocaine in South Belfast.
Alex Maskey MLA said, "Yesterday's seizure of £5million worth of cocaine, and the arrests which accompanied this are to be welcomed. The problem of drugs is increasing, and this seizure will hopefully restrict the availability of drugs in our community."
"Drugs and those that profit from them are the scourge of our society, and they prey on the vulnerability of our young people. These drugs dealers have no positive contribution to our community and must be sent a strong message, that we do not want their activity or their drugs in this society." CRÍOCH |
