Sinn Féin Representatives Alex Maskey MLA and Niall Ó Donnghaile, speaking today as this year's Féile An Droichead prepares to kick off, have congratulated all of those involved in bringing this festival together and said that the Féile is continuing to go from strength to strength.

South Belfast MLA Alex Maskey said,
"Last year's Féile was a great success and enjoyed by many people from different backgrounds and cultures from throughout Belfast and further afield. This year's Féile has built on this and shows that it is going from strength to strength.

All of those who have been involved in organising this festival are to be commended upon their great work, not only in organising the Féile, but on promoting the Irish language and culture in this part of Belfast.

East Belfast's Niall Ó Donnghaile said,
"This year's Féile An Droichead is yet another step forward in the sterling work already being carried out by An Droichead. The whole Féile encompasses what true Irish culture is: inclusion, tradition and excitement.

"I would like to join my Party colleague Alex Maskey in congratulating everyone involved on all of their hard work."
