Collusion finding in Sean Graham's HET report comes as no surprise

Published: 2 September, 2010

Commenting on the HET report into the 1992 killing of five people by the UDA in the Sean Graham's bookmakers on the Lower Ormeau Road, South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has said that the confirmation that collusion took place between the RUC and the UDA will come as no surprise to residents in the area and has pledged his continuing support to the families of those killed in their quest for the truth.

Alex Maskey MLA said,

"The finding by the HET that the Browning pistol used by the UDA in this attack was handed back to them by the RUC will come as no surprise to the people of the Lower Ormeau area who have long known that a high degree of collusion took place in this attack.

"I would commend the families of those killed in this attack who have never given up in their search for the truth about the killings of their loved ones and I will continue to lend my full support to them in this quest".
