South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has reiterated the call by Party colleague Martin McGuinness on the White House and the British government to use their influence with the Israelis to secure an immediate ceasefire. South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has expressed his concern at the recent upsurge in sectarian intimidation being carried out by Unionist death squads within the South Belfast area. South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has called upon the SDLP Deputy Leader Alasdair McDonnell to stop telling lies in relation to Sinn Féin's position on the Review of Public Administration (RPA), and has called upon Mr McDonnell's Party colleagues, Councillor's John O'Kane and Dermot Curran, to verify that Sinn Féin has opposed the current RPA proposals in relation to minority protection on councils. South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has hit out at the current housing policy saying that it seems designed to benefit private landlords and developers rather than those who have been waiting years on housing waiting lists. The South Belfast MLA was speaking after it was revealed that within the Housing Executive's Belfast District 7 catchment area there has been less money spent on new build programs than has been spent on Private sector housing benefits and Private sector grants.
