Sinn Féin activists from South & East Belfast have been going 'All-Ireland' by campaigning in Dublin for the upcoming 26 County general election. As well as helping out throughout the Dublin area, South and East Belfast Sinn Féin has been 'twinned' with the Dublin South Central constituency in which we hope to see the sitting Sinn Féin TD, Aengus O'Snodaigh, top the poll.

Speaking about the work being done by South and East Belfast Sinn Féin activists in Dublin, East Belfast Sinn Féin representative Niall Ó'Donnghaile said,

"Sinn Féin is going into this election campaign in a stronger position than every before. As part of the process of twinning constituencies throughout Ireland, activists from South and East Belfast have been working with our comrades from Dublin, particularly the Dublin South Central constituency. This work will continue for next three weeks when we will be seeking a mandate for real change and equality. Our objective is to be in government, north and south and to deliver strong public services and to advance the peace process and preparations for Irish unity.'

South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey said,

"Over the past decade, republicans have proven our ability not just to negotiate successfully to advance the peace process but also to show leadership by taking major and sometimes difficult decisions in the national interest. Dramatic progress has been made. Sinn Féin and the DUP are going to head the power-sharing government in the north and Sinn Féin's five Government Ministers will work hard in the interests of everyone on this island. We are about delivering for Ireland's future.

"Sinn Féin is ready for government, north and south. Over the next four weeks we will be campaigning the length and breadth of the country seeking a mandate for real change and equality. Activists from South and East Belfast are proud to be playing a role in helping to make such a mandate a reality through their hard work in Dublin".
