Speaking after, last Friday, attending a multicultural musical event in East Belfast, Sinn Féin representative Niall Ó Donnghaile has congratulated all those involved in making the event such as success.

Mr Ó Donnghaile said,

"Friday night follows a number of other successful events organised between the Short Strand Inner East Group and the Crown Project. I am particularly impressed that this event focused on young people and providing music workshops for many cultures. The musicians from 'The Motion Project' provided a great night's entertainment but also helped several budding musicians who were in attendance.

"This event was organised help build the relationship between the East Belfast community. Also, with the multi-cultural aspect as the theme of the night, it helps those who took part to interact with people from differing backgrounds, tackling both sectarianism and racism".

He concluded,

'I would commend the organisers and all those who took part in making this a brilliant event. I look forward to working with groups throughout East Belfast to help foster and create community relationships for the betterment of all of our people".
