Ó Donnghaile lends his support to Lower Woodstock campaign

East Belfast Sinn Féin representative Niall Ó Donnghaile, speaking after meeting with the Lower Woodstock Community Association (LWCA), said that he shares the community's concern at the lack of play facilities in the area and supports the LWCA's campaign for a toddlers play park on Eversleigh Street.

Mr Ó Donnghaile said,

"I was delighted at being invited to meet with members of the LWCA, with other political and community representatives from the constituency, to hear the current situation outlined by members of the LWCA's Committee. I support the residents and the LWCA's campaign for the park on Eversleigh Street and I will be raising the issue with the Sinn Féin team in the City Hall. The area has large numbers of children and young people, yet lacks this much needed facility. As well as this, like much of East Belfast this area suffers from a high volume of traffic; this park would provide a vital facility for our young people to play as well as providing a safe, recreational environment."

"The onus is now on those with political influence in the area to assist the community in obtaining this much needed facility, I will be briefing the Sinn Féin members sitting on the council's Parks and Leisure committee and commit Sinn Féin in East Belfast to remaining in contact with LWCA and assisting their campaign in any way that we can."
