Maskey welcome drugs seizure

Published: 5 October, 2007

South Belfast MLA Alex Maskey has welcomed the seizure of cannibas with an estimated value of £10,000 in the Markets area of South Belfast.

"Drugs are a blight on our community. Those who deal in them are parasites. Children in working class communities like the Markets are being targetted by these people who care only about how much money they can make.

I welcome the seizure of these drugs and the removal of them from this community however, I emphasise that much more needs to be done to tackle those who profit from poisoning our young people."
