Maskey raises concerns with Ballynafiegh PSNIPublished: 20 December, 2007
Following an arson attack and other related incidents in the Ballynafeigh area, Alex Maskey today met with a PSNI delegation to raise his concerns. Speaking after the meeting Mr Maskey said: "We used this meeting today to raise a number of concerns that we have had regarding an ongoing community problem in Ballynafeigh. The PSNI took our concerns on board and agreed to come back with clarity on some of those issues. " "It is important that this situation is closely monitored. We are very fortunate that the arson attack last week and other related incidents have not led to a more serious tragedy. All of us, including the PSNI and other statutory bodies, have a responsibility to work closely, so as to prevent a build up of incidents which lead to attacks, such as those which occurred in Ballynafeigh last week."
