Sinn Fein welcomes PSNI seizure of drugs in Short StrandPublished: 7 April, 2008
Ó Donnghaile welcomes PSNI seizure of drugs in Short Strand.
Sinn Féin's East Belfast Representative Niall Ó Donnghaile, has welcomed the PSNI seizure of £350,000 worth of cannabis resin, in Short Strand on Sunday.
Ó Donnghaile said,
"I welcome the PSNI move against drugs in this area. The problem of drugs in this community is increasing, and this seizure will hopefully restrict the availability of drugs in our community"
"Drugs and those that profit from them are the scourge of our society, and they prey on the vulnerability of our young people. These drugs dealers have no positive contribution to our community and must be sent a strong message, that we do not want them or their drugs in Short Strand"
"Sinn Féin members have being calling for PSNI action against drugs in the Short Strand , at the East Belfast DPP, and we welcome this PSNI move against drugs in Short Strand."
